Boks punish Poms
24 May 2008
The Springbok Sevens beat England 22-7 in the main game of the day at Twickenham.
The Boks trailed 5-7 at the break after a try from Gio Aplon, but further tries from MJ Mentz, Kabamba Floors and another from Aplon meant they totally outclassed England in the second half.
The Boks will now play Argentina in the Cup quarter-final after they beat France 40-0 and Spain 42-5 earlier in the day.
The surprise result of the day was Portugal’s 28-12 win over Australia, which means the Portuguese will reach the Cup quarters.

This is good news at least. Few things are better than making the Poms eat dirt at Twickenham.

No surprise that Aplon is running amock in 7′s. He’s got some great skills. I can just imagine what it must be like to play touch rugby against that slick little dude. Aplon 50 You 0
