Bath claim Euro Cup

Butch James starred in a 24-16 victory for Bath over Worcester in the European Challenge Cup final.

The scoreline flattered Worcester, as former Springbok winger Thinus Delport crossed the line in injury time. After recently being knocked out of the Premiership race, Bath finally have some silverware, the first trophy to come to The Rec in 10 years. Winning this title also ensures Bath will play in next season’s Heineken Cup.

Bath led 15-6 at the break thanks to tries by flanker Jonny Faamatuainu and fullback Nick Abendanon. Olly Barkley and James’s subsequent penalty-goals took the game away from Worcester thereafter.

The game marked the last in Bath colours for England’s Olly Barkley and Steve Borthwick. Barkley is off to Gloucester while Borthwick is joining Saracens.

Bath – Tries: Jonny Faamatuainu, Nick Abendanon. Conversion: Olly Barkley. Penalties: Barkley 2, Butch James. Drop-goal: Barkley.
Worcester - Try: Thinus Delport. Conversion: Joe Carlisle. Penalties: Shane Drahm (3).

I also watched this match and Butch was at the most average in a low class affair. Shocking match in comparison with Super 14!

I agree, it was a terrible low class affair. In order to upgrade from this c###b I think a player needs to attend a “Introduction to Rugby 114″ course.

#2 patzer: If you want to see a terrible game go watch the Sharks S14 semi-final, dire stuff. This was a physical northern hemisphere game packed full of international players. Just because it isn’t played in a big stadium with the ball being thrown around willy nilly doesn’t mean it isn’t good action.

Why are you saying this? Did you watch the Bath game? I honestly cannot see the fuzz about Butch. He has done absolutely nothing in a low quality match.

WARNING – If you are used to slow boring **** then fast things may seem disorganised to you. If this is happening to you then put your drivers licence in the rubbish bin and watch Northern Hemisphere rugby
