South Africa opted for an extended batting practice on the final day of their match against Bangladesh A.
AB de Villiers (100) and Robin Peterson (103*) enjoyed the conditions with both men scoring centuries. Jacques Kallis wasn’t able to add to his overnight score of 55, retiring hurt with an injured finger, but is expected to be fully fit by Wednesday when the third test gets under way.
After De Villiers fell, Peterson was joined at the crease by Andre Nel and he too got in on the action scoring 56.
South Africa finally declared on 324-4 and Bangladesh A faced just 27 overs before the match was declared a draw. Peterson grabbed both of the Proteas’ wickets.
