Brakpan Rugby Club beat CUT Ixias 18-13 on Tuesday to book a place in the national club championship semi-finals.

The Valke’s finest were down 3-10 at the half but a late rally ensured they knocked the Free State students out of the competition. Centre Juan Visser was instrumental in the victory scoring two tries after the break.

College Rovers also overcame Tuks 25-13 in their quarter-final encounter, while Stellenbosch and Pukke will also advance having beaten Roses United and UJ respectively.
