Ricky nailed for booze cruise

Ricky Januarie was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning for alleged drunk driving.

The Bok scrumhalf, who played for WP against the Valke on Saturday, was arrested in Durbanville and detained from 2:30am until 8:30am. He was then released and will appear in the Bellville magistrate’s court on Wednesday.

This is the second time this season that alcohol has gotten Januarie into trouble.

In June, he went drinking with a few friends in the week leading up to the first Test against Wales, and apparently arrived at the Bok hotel under the influence. He was banned for one match by Bok management.

Yes Puma, travel is the best university in the world.
The only entrance fee you have to pay is:
“treat people as you would want to be treated”
    It really is that simple.

#649 tight head: I think a lot of us do though tight head. But of course there are some that don’t but like I said its there loss. We will get it right here. This is such a beautiful country and we have great people. That was the one thing I missed about when I left SA. Our people and I mean of all colours. Also missed our great weather have to admit.

#645 Puma: as I seen it, skop was one of these rugby fans who preferred style of play above all else, even I think if that meant losing. He wanted Bok rugby to go back to its heyday of running rugby (before my time presumably), Jake provided the antithesis of this with his style very much built on route one rugby. I don’t think he cared for Jake’s shrewd political operating either. I don’t think many bloggers noticed but he seemed to turn against PDV at the end in the last few posts suggesting that someone else should take over and even bracketing him with Jake at one point.

#659 Big Hit: I did notice on Saturday he saying something about PdV has to go. So yes he was turning on him too. Just think that Skop has a problem. I think Jake brought back respect in our rugby. Remember that naked boot camp saga? Well after that Jake really did turn it around and made us proud.

Anyway Big Hit. I am out of here for now will chat later again. Cheers.

BH you really have an attitude about Kiwis in general & the ABs in particular. You accuse them of disdain & arrogance. In my day I played with many Kiwis, some of them ABs. Without exception all were great fellas, no hint of arrogance at all. I also played with some Wallabies & they were good guys too. Never had the opportunity to play with Saffas or Boks so I’ve no personal opinion other than 2nd hand stories from Lions players I knew who toured SA.

Sheeshh!!!! How embarrasing – posts #663 and #664. Listening p1ssface just speak English ok, nobody will mind. Putting in “da kaka spellin” aint doin no good to da message as it be makin’ you look like a nob. If you have something to contribute to the debate it will be far better received in simple correct English, besides all this talk about udders is giving me a woody.

#665 Big Hit: BH, I read the article you suggested. My comments: kind of a sad column, but then it’s author is Alistair Campbell after all. The only truth to his observations were about schadenfreude ” it’s not a noble feeling”. Evidently he followed the typical English trait of being churlish abroad & was not a good guest :-(
You have a lot to live up to regarding your regular forecasts over the AI internationals. I doubt if England have the ability to knock off the ABs. But then rugby is unpredictable game as the French showed in the RWC :-(

Well 17 of the 2007 Squad had gone north so they were in a rebuilding phase blooding new players etc together with the new rules … so, more vulnerable than in a while ? Perhaps. Yet, they still managed to grab the silverware … What does that say to you ? 8)
