Matt Turner was in Matric at Bishops in 2006. That year’s Bishops first team lost just twice in 21 games, to Grey College, (14-25) and in a freak game played in pouring rain against Bellville High (0-6), drew to Paarl Gim, but were the only side to beat Paul Roos and were unofficially ranked 4th in the country.

Turner, left winger, finished the leading try scorer (28) and points scorer (287) in the country but was was not even selected to represent the WP Craven Week side that lost two of its games despite having powerhouse school teams to choose from (Paul Roos ranked 1st that year, Paarl Gim 3rd and Bishops 4th).

I am interested in the Yaks – are they in good condition, is it a buy one get one free? And do you include free shipping? Will WPTID be included as chief orange peeler and sherper? I really need to make sure I make the right decisions here. Especially as Minnesota has no real mountains – so they will have double up on the milk side. Finally I would like all the paperwork, including the all important Tibetan pedigree papers.

lets be quite honest, whatever one feels of the wrongs and rights of it, the fact of the matter is that it is very unlikely that SA will see a white player on the wing for a province let alone the Springboks in the next 10 years.

Rathbone was a fantastic winger. As for them taking a softer option, i dont believe that at all. Their whole roots are in SA, it would have been their schoolboy dream to play for the Springboks.

I was listening to an album of theirs called Evil Urges this morning on the way into work. Really cool stuff. First time I'd heard them. Ryan Adams is great. Heartbreaker is a seriously good album and Nuclear must be one of the best opening tracks out there. It sounds great musically. Even if he is old and slightly over the hill I would still pay a lot to see Neil Young.

The economics are not too bad here – markets fairly stable – very weak rand at moment – politics still a bit volatile but settling down after the “shock”- Allan Boesak having a go at fundamentalists in churches – Tutu says he wont vote at next elections, Skoppy still banned etc

Looking forward to semi’s – just a pity my team is not there!
