Federico Todeschini kicked 18 points in Montpellier’s 37-15 European Challenge Cup victory over Bristol.
Bristol started strongly, scoring in the first minute, but faded at the Stade Yves Du Manior. The French side scored three scored three converted tries on their way to a comfortable win, and outside of the early onslaught, never looked troubled by the English side.
They rallied from a 12-3 deficit, scoring through Francois Trinh-Duc and then left wing Thierry Brana.
Todeschini added another three points and ensured his team took their lead into the break and kicked three more penalties before substitute prop forward Pieter van Niekerek sealed the result with a converted try seven minutes from the end.
