Mallett mixes it up

South African born Italy coach Nick Mallett has selected winger Pablo Canavosio at scrumhalf and made a number of other positional changes for Saturday’s test against Australia.

Canavosio was the replacement scrumhalf in June’s 26-0 defeat to the Springboks but has had minimal game time there since.

In other changes, Andrea Masi trades the No 10 shirt in and lines up at fullback with Andrea Marcato, usually a fullback, taking over at pivot. Mirco Bergamasco starts on the wing despite playing the majority of his career at centre.
