Toulon rope in Jake
25 Nov 2008
Struggling French club Toulon have acquired the services of Jake White as an adviser.
The World Cup-winning coach will only be with the club from 3-22 December, but president Mourad Boudjellal believes any input can help at this stage. Toulon are currently at 11th in the French domestic competition.
“Even I have my limitations and may still be in certain respects a president of a second division club, who for so long dreamed of gaining promotion,” said Boudjellal. “I want to find out what is not working and that is why I have looked outside the club for an opinion.”
John Connolly was initially brought in to aid Tana Umaga but clashed with the incumbent manager and was quickly removed.

Ek gee nie om om weer geban te word nie, laat hy net waag om MY n ************* te noem…..
Ek skrik regtig nie vir hom en provinceboytjie en saru1983 se liga nie nie.

I’ve never defended him. I don’t know who this Tulsa is.
I don’t agree with calling people names.

I wonder if Johnson is talking to Jake. He must be wanting to get rid of his current crop of coaches
26 Nov 2008, 09:45 am
Reading between the lines, skopskiet obviously had a post removed (#21). On a thread about Jake White – who would’ve guessed?
Whaaaaaat a doos.
Good luck Jake. You are a true rugby man.
26 Nov 2008, 09:45 am
#60 saffa_guy: Good work! Those will sell!
26 Nov 2008, 09:52 am
#65 wooden spoon: I would like to read the melodramatic vitriol that Skop was uttering
#60 saffa_guy: You forgot to mention that it comes with a RWC Gold medal winners medal as well as the William Webb Ellis trophy and the Tr-Nations trophy as silverware. Speaking of silverware what have we got left
26 Nov 2008, 09:55 am
Isn’t it funny how all the staunch PDV lovers/apologists appear to dislike JW (and Eddie Jones) intensely? I wonder why and how they could possibly feel threatened by Jake White? Seems silly.
26 Nov 2008, 09:58 am
I see that Skoptjokvolfokkolll was at it and banned yet again….. hopefully for good this time and hopefully when he re-surfaces under yet another name, the ban will be immediate.
Tulsa should be banned permanently as well with his hate speech….. I’ve just reported his post and I trust that a lot of you have done exactly that as well…
26 Nov 2008, 09:59 am
#68 wooden spoon:
I’m a staunch PDV “lover/apologist” as you call it, and I have no problem with Jake White or Eddie Jones.
In fact Eddie Jones agrees with me that Conrad Jantjes was in fine form this year
26 Nov 2008, 10:00 am
#69 grootblousmile:
Apparently skopskiet was Tulsa.
26 Nov 2008, 10:05 am
#70 WP Till I Die: Good for you. You set a shining example
26 Nov 2008, 10:07 am
#71 WP Till I Die: No, it’s not the same Muppit……… Skopdoos’s style was unmistakable……… he could never resist rambling on in Essay-style doodoo……. whereas this ****, Tulsa, is a 1-liner stirrer !
The Traceroute I ran also does not correspond at all for the 2. I know exactly who and where each can be found…..
26 Nov 2008, 10:08 am
Good Luck to Jake. This is one rich club he will earn plenty. Who knows may still get that Engand Job aswell. All the best to Jake.
26 Nov 2008, 10:08 am
#70 WP Till I Die: P.S. My view is that you shouldn’t put any coach on a pedestal. Be fair and objective however when considering their performances. After 4 years at the helm, JW deserves credit.
PDV had his highs and lows this year but overall had a relatively successful year.
We mustn’t make who the coach is a sideshow. It all about the Boks’ results, and nothing else.
26 Nov 2008, 10:09 am
#73 grootblousmile: What in the heck is a “traceroute” and how do you do such things?
26 Nov 2008, 10:12 am
#75 wooden spoon: Agree with you wooden spoon.
26 Nov 2008, 10:13 am
#76 wooden spoon: Woody….. secrets of the IT Industry……… if I had to explain here, it would have to be in Book Form…. something like “TraceRoute for Dummies”.
Simply put it consists of various Network and Internet usage Monitoring Software packages…….. and some creative hacking…. leave it to us Pro’s….
26 Nov 2008, 10:20 am
#78 grootblousmile: OK, for an IT dummy then, I guess it tells you the source (geographical location) of the user on the other end? ISP address or something like that…
26 Nov 2008, 10:29 am
#79 wooden spoon: Yeah, it re-traces the “route” / “path” that the Muppit has taken from his PC, through his ISP, through the Internet, to the eventual site.
Some interesting stats on what else has been browsed comes up as well….

Just wanted to take the opportunity to thank Jake for his contributions to SA Rugby, especially the Boks performance in 2008.
Jake, without your input none of the success would have been possible.
I wonder if his input will cover off the field matters like the cheerleaders. I’m sure he will make a success of whatever he is asked to do. Knowing him, he will probably use his a lot of his own initiative as well.
26 Nov 2008, 10:47 am
#81 Sheriff: keo should send thanks to jake for allowing him to make a living from skopskiet.

Must not forget to wear your white robes and bring along your offerings of biltong

Laat staan sulke dinge laat staan….

But I will.
Thank you Jake ®
26 Nov 2008, 10:56 am
#84 grootblousmile:
#85 Sheriff: very kind of you.
personally i want to thank jake for all his good work in the PAST and thank PdV for all his good work in the PRESENT.
but please jake, save the questions about PdV’s selections til after the game………..or for your closest friends and family mate. it is exactly what you hated and it makes you look silly when the boks give thumpings to “big” unions.

Supported Jake in his darkest days
Believed we would win the World Cup as early as Feb 2007.
Have bets and postings to confirm this.
Post winning the World Cup, feelings changed significantly.

“Jake White has questioned Peter de Villiers’s policy to ignore overseas-based Springboks.”
this on the eve of a test vs the poms.
