Carter injury mars Perpignan win
11 Jan 2009
Perpignan’s 40-14 victory over Bourgoin may have come at a price as Dan Carter left the field with an injury at half-time.
The All Blacks flyhalf said it was a recurring Achilles tendon injury and the decision to further sideline the star will only be made this Monday following further medical tests.
“The pain was getting worse after about half an hour of the match and as a precaution I came off at half-time. It was frustrating because I really wanted to play and the team had a really good match,” he said.
In other Top 14 action, Monatuban beat Bayonne 15-13 at home while Stade Francais edged Mont-de-Marsan 13-6.
In the English Premiership, Paul Diggin scored a brace to give Northampton a 17-13 victory over Leicester.

It looks like Perpignan will not make the next round from their ‘group of death’. Doing well in 3rd in French league anyway

#3 church – like chch but pronounceable: they might have made it had NZ not taken him to AC Milan for some promotion meaning he couldn’t play against Leicester.

#2 church – like chch but pronounceable: I think he needs to play in the Super 14 he’ll heal quicker.

#4 Big Hit:
Why not,hes NZs player, what wrong with taking your own players on a promotion?
#5 Ezee-23:
Let him play for England at #12,they dont do anything in that position,he will heal there.
