Keo.co.za brings you the latest news from Australia’s Super 14 franchises.

Sheehan to face Reds

Brett Sheehan is the only Wallaby from their 2008 year-end tour to be included in the Waratahs squad to face the Queensland Reds in a warm-up match on Saturday.

Coach Chris Hickey has named young 28-man squad to face the Reds and has decided to rest his Wallabies, with the exception of Sheehan who starts from the bench.

Aussie really has some fantastic youngsters coming through. James O Connor is the obvious one to get a lot of attention in 09- but Rob Horne is another youngster with blistering pace, and serious ball. A real one to watch this year.

Chris Thomson is the son of Wallabies manager Phil. The Tahs will be light on in the pack without Vickerman, Kanaar, Dunning, Kepu, Elsom and Lyons. Peter Playford is an ex Brumby was supposed to be going overseas. Coridas dread locked ginger who played in the sevens sides possible replacement for Waugh.
