Sheehan to face Reds

Brett Sheehan is the only Wallaby from their 2008 year-end tour to be included in the Waratahs squad to face the Queensland Reds in a warm-up match on Saturday.

Coach Chris Hickey has named young 28-man squad to face the Reds and has decided to rest his Wallabies, with the exception of Sheehan who starts from the bench.

Sam Norton-Knight, Matt Carraro, Tom Carter, Kurtley Beale, Will Caldwell, Rob Horne and Sheehan headline the side and are the only players who were part of the side that lost to the Crusaders in last year’s Super 14 final.

Waratahs - 15 Sam Norton-Knight, 14 Tim Bennetts, 13 Matt Carraro, 12 Tom Carter, 11 Peter Playford, 10 Kurtley Beale, 9 Jeremy Sua, 8 Scott Fava, 7 Ben Coridas, 6 Ben Mowen, 5 Kane Douglas, 4 Chris Thomson, 3 Dan Palmer, 2 Damien Fitzpatrick, 1 Jeremy Tilse.
