Quins into quarters
24 Jan 2009
Harlequins booked a place in the Heineken Cup quarter-finals with a 29-24 victory over the Scarlets.
They now wait to see if they are seeded in the top four and therefore earn a home play-off match. Quins secured a four-try bonus-point – with Chris Robshaw, George Robson, James Percival and Tom Williams all crossing the chalk – and this improves their chances of hosting a quarter-final at The Stoop.
Earlier in the day, Stade Francais managed to hold on for a 24-19 win against Ulster, although neither team had an opportunity to qualify for the play-offs. Similarly, the dead rubber between Sale and Clermont end in a comfortable 26-17 victory for Sale.
