Brumbies foursome cleared
Patrick Phibbs, Clyde Rathbone, Francis Fainifo and captain Stephen Hoiles have all been cleared to front the Force this Saturday.
Andy Friend is able to retain the same starting line-up for the third week running given Phibbs (thigh), Rathbone (ankle), Fainifo (head knock) and Hoiles (ankle) have all overcome their respective niggles.
Brumbies – Mark Gerrard, Clyde Rathbone, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Stirling Mortlock, Francis Fainifo, Christian Lealiifano, Patrick Phibbs, Stephen Hoiles (capt), George Smith, Julian Salvi, Mark Chisholm, Ben Hand, Guy Shepherdson, Stephen Moore, Nic Henderson.
Subs: John Ulugia, Ben Alexander, Sitaleki Timani, Peter Kimlin, Josh Holmes, Matt Toomua, Tyrone Smith.
Time out for Tahu
Centre Timana Tahu will ride the bench this Friday as the Waratahs management look to ease the strain on his hamstrings.
Tom Carter will replace Tahu at No 12 while Adam Freier also wins a start ahead of Tatafu Polota-Nau at hooker. This decision has also been taken due to the latter breaking down with a corked thigh in last week’s battle with the Chiefs.
“We have players who have been carrying injuries or who have recently come back from them, and we are mindful of not overloading them,” said coach Chris Hickey.
