Stormers wait on heavies

JD Moller and Brian Mujati will be given more time to recover ahead of a crucial forward battle against the Bulls.

Speaking to keo.co.za, Stormers media manager Frikkie Erasmus said the two props’ injuries will be monitored by the team doctor throughout the week. A decision will be made at a later stage on their availability for Saturday’s match at Loftus Versfeld.

While the front row pair are battling shoulder injuries that may affect the Stormers at scrum time, the Cape franchise’s proficiency at the breakdown could also take a knock. Schalk Burger has also been given time to recover from a calf injury. His failure to regain fitness will be a huge blow to the Stormers’ chances.

Coach Rassie Erasmus will name his team on Wednesday.

No heavy dragons in Stormers side

Pity Twatson will propably play. He might be One of their main problems. One bad apple infecting the others. He can`t be good for team morale. I bet very few in the Stormers team have any respect for him. For the Stormers to improve they need to drop him.

Geez, how **** has the Stormers scrum been?

#2 The-Pill: I am not a fan of the little man at all, but give him credit, he has been playing well.

#4 Loosehead: Agree he has been playing well. The funny thing about the Stormers are that no one seems to have extreme shockers but there is no coherence. Would like to see Fourie get a start at hooker, think he offers some bulk in the scrum and will stay out of the back line.

#4 Loosehead: I am not knocking his playing ability. He does well in the backline. Jokes aside, i am talking about his relations with rest of team. I bet secretly a lot of Stormers despise him. I might be wrong, but his controversial aspect cant be good for the team.

    I also think he’s done reasonably well…

Think it will do the Stormers good if Schalk sits out 1 game. For a great forward like him, its been disappointing seeing him make so much errors. Percy was also disappointing as is Bekker and Januarie… What is it with the big names in the team??

the problem is that rassie did not get the right back-up.
AJ Venter is finished. the type of rugby rassie want the stormers to play doesnt suit de waal.

It seems to me that Brian Mujati’s confidence took a knock.

He did very well in 2008 S14, was selected for Boks but failed to impress.

JD Moller better than say 2007 but hardly a dominating force.

Of course, the pressure starts there and works its way to No 15

    So Bulls by 15?

Stormers heavies? Thought they were talking about Naqelivuki and January.

I guess as a Stormers fan – one has to say – are the replacements really any worse than these two????? Can they be?

Watch Rassie fulfill Jake’s dream and make a hooker out of Puke Watson

Hello to everyone here on Koei.
The Bull run is looking good so far.

Just where does Province get all the ball from, with all these loosies in the backline. I’ve read here the locks are in the backline, so is the hooker and the flanks. So how do they actually manage to recycle ball at all for these forwards to run in the backline. Interesting.

Either way. Lots of injuries everywhere. Matfield. Burger. Habana. Deysel. Smith. Few minor injuries also to squad players for all SA sides.

Luke should go and play for Pukke. :)

    He ain’t heavy he’s a Stormer

Believe all SA wanted the Stormers to crush the Blues.
But no, then their captain wnet off. No..uhm, that was the game before. O yes. Finishing finishing, was what went wrong.

    Poet I didn’t know it.

Maybe Stomers could do with a Jake White type coach. Some-one who understands a bit about structure, discipline and all that. It’s really not the players I feel. Maybe more the mindset. The groove the Stormers found themselves in for the past 4/5 years. i.e, no (winning) culture.

I don’t have words for the Stormers team. Dammit , only three players that tried there best , JDV ,Ricky ,Percy what happend to the rest of the team. No dissipline in that team. Is it because of Lukie boy ? how can a team with so many boks play suck k^k rugby. Open tryline and they spill the ball or try to go and score a try on his own. What about the word team ? these guys don’t play like a team. No foook they don’t deserve to be in the S14. Damn , the team and the coaching stuff sucks.

Dutchies waiting on Watson. Hahaha. I think he meant those other Dutchies. But either way. Loftus is going to haunt old Watson this weekend. Shame, it’s going to be ugly.
Let the guy just play. Maybe Rassie will prepare them again with sounds of booing like last time the cheethas practiced with Steve bactracks. I think he said it was to get a simulation vibe going.
It probably had more to do with the fact that Steve is just Rassie’s favourite band :)

In die laaste tien jaar op ‘n geweegde gemiddelde mediaan sal ek se’, Dis lekkerder om ‘n Bul te wees.

Stormers, all promise and not enough wins. Hard to support. Even more difficult to face the facts. Will it go downhill all the way if they lose to the Bulls this weekend.

Only two teams for Sa in the top 8. Although Lions looked more determined in the second halve. Almost getting it together. That would be something the day Lions get up from their everlasting loss of form/ winning capability.

Good teams still win sometimes, when playing badly. Only the Sharks and Bulls can claim to be good teams on such an generalisation.

Rassie se game plan is omtrent as volg: Mens moet net nooit jou sin vir humor verloor nie. :D lekka dag verloorders, Sharks en Bulle. :( :)

PS. KEO. These advertisments are insane. In between the blogging. Who is this mad person who thought up the idea. Really.

Can you look at your blog and say this adds value to the reader? This is one of the worst! things from an executive side on things, I’ve ever seen.

KEO. And your background is also rather weak. Too busy. Disturbing actually – to the minds eye readers eye or whatever you call that science that deals with aestethics linguistics and readability of stuff to read.
To tell you the truth. Your losing the plot.
The rest of the ‘new’ feautures very nice.

The Stormers have no game plan and no discipline. Look at Januarie’s kicks, Brits’ chases, Burgers handling. utter rubbish. All that was needed was Jantjes sidestepping himself or kicking the ball back to opposition. As for more rubbish with Watson “infecting” the entire team? That infection must have infected SA rugby fans as most have lost the plot and turned into downright @ssholes. He’s played a lot better than most of his teammates. In a team with a game plan that dismal noones going to shine

Ohhhh farkkkkk, the only 2 props, however mediocre they may be, that the Stormers have……….. are crocked…

Is Rassie aiming to play Uncontested scrums from the first kick off ??

What’s the bet that the Stormers will run out of props, causing uncontested scrums, against the Bulls for a long duration of the 2nd half !

I just hope the injury bogey does not now seriously creep in for all SA sides…. there are already quite a couple of telling injuries…

come now lets be honest there is no chance the Stormers can beat the bulls at loftus last season they played us in our own back yard and remember we lost to them then, and that was when they where super ****, now they are amazing, title contenders again!

    Bulls 48 Stormers 19
