Jeppe face confident St John’s
17 Mar 2009
St John’s College will host Jeppe Boys’ High in a traditional Gauteng derby on Friday afternoon.
Jeppe have made a disjointed start to the 2009 season and only just managed to avoid defeat to St David’s last weekend. In contrast, St John’s look settled and hope to play an attractive, expansive game.
The challenge for Jeppe is to focus all of their energy on Friday’s game and not to think too much about their upcoming tour of New Zealand (the team leaves on Saturday).
St John’s won last year’s match between the sides 16-12 in what was an extremely physical encounter. Expect more of the same this time round.
According to weather predictions, there is a 40% chance of rain and thundershowers in the afternoon.
Kick-off is at 4pm.

jeppe arent the team they used to be in the 70′s, but then, none of them are with maybe the exception of Grey, Affies, Paul Roos. My old school Parktown certainly aren’t up to scratch anymore.

Schools like Grey, Affies, Paul Roos have just grown as the years have gone on.
Have your say
