Former New Zealand lock Chris Jack may return home after the recent fallout with Saracens.
Jack’s contract with the Watford club expires in June, and already the All Blacks second-rower has received a number of offers. Several French clubs are interested, but the 30-year-old could return home to raise his two children in Christchurch.
‘We have been in touch with Chris, but it’s important to note that he is still contracted to his club in Europe,’ said NZRU general manager Neil Sorensen. ‘However, he has indicated that he is keen to return to New Zealand at some stage and we would obviously be keen to talk further.”
Jack has played 67 Tests for the All Blacks and will be 32 when New Zealand host the World Cup in 2011.
