A nightclub altercation between France lock Sebastien Chabal and Italy prop Martin Castrogiovanni left the latter with a bloodied nose on Saturday.

According to Italian news agency Ansa, Chabal and Castrogiovanni came to blows at a nightclub following France’s 50-8 win over Italy. Chabal allegedly looked at the Italian hardman’s girlfriend, incurring his wrath and sparking an incident.

But it was the Italian who came off second best with a bloodied nose as the team-mates from both sides intervened to end the fight.
