Nepgen bolsters Maties

Lock Jaco Nepgen returns as the only change to the Maties team to face Pukke in the final of the Varsity Cup.
The 23-year-old replaces Marinus Pretorius, who drops to the bench, while Eric Laubscher loses his place in the squad.
Meanwhile, Pukke coach Rudy Joubert has kept faith in the same 22 that will travel to the Western Cape for the second time in a week.
Pukke will head into Monday’s final as underdogs, but they are used to winning at the Danie Craven Stadium. In last year’s National Club Championships in Stellenbosch they downed Maties 23-20 in the semis and Joubert will be hoping for a similar display.

Really big one… Gonna be a great game. I will definately be adding to the atmosphere at the Danie Craven Stadium.
I really like this captain of the Pukke. He seems like a great 8th man.
Think the Lions or Cheetahs will do well to get him. I don’t the Stormers, Sharks or Bulls should get him, they have enough depth at loose.

het jy die laaste game tussen die twee spanne gekyk. die pukke stutte se koppe het heel game in hulle gatte gesit in die skrums. met Mathew Dobson wat gaan begin kan die pukke maar weet hulle skrum gaan gebreek word want Johan Roets en Lourens Adriaanse weet net van vorentoe gaan in ‘n skrum. ek hoop die puk se sielkunde departement weet hoe om spelers se selfbeeld optebou na vannaand.
