Injury fears for Lions trio

Gavin Henson, Ian Gough and Mike Tindall all limped off the field in Gloucester’s 17-0 win over the Ospreys.

With Lions coach Ian McGeechan announcing his squad in late April the injuries come as blow to the trio of candidates.

Henson’s looks the most worrying as he limped off with an ankle injury before half-time.

Lock  Gough and centre Tindall may not be serious contenders for the Test XV but are sure to come into the reckoning for the 35 or 36 man squad. Tindall suffered a knee injury, while Gough has a thigh problem.

The extent of the injuries will be determined early in the week.
