The Cardiff Blues beat  pre-tournament favourites Toulouse 9-6 in a European Cup quarter-final at the Millennium Stadium.

Ex-All Blacks fullback Ben Blair traded penalties with Freddie Michalak and David Skrela as the Blues will now face either Leicester or Bath in Cardiff.

Shaun Sowerby had another strong game for Toulouse as they pushed for a win in the final quarter, but now the No 1 seeds could get a home final if they carry on their European charge.
