Pretoria Boys vs RBHS was a tale of 2 halves. Bosch won on the hooter-incredible 19 point turnaround having been down 18-3 at ht. The 8 for Bosch-Chad Mathews is a great player along with KES 12 Jaryd Meyer. Would like to see both in the SA Schools set-up in 2009

After watching all the schools action over the weekend I think its safe to say that SA Rugby can and should remain on top of the world for the next 10 to 15 years or so! The talent, skills, size and enthusiasm of all the schools and players was amazing! And it just seems to get better each year!

And if the talent scouts and offers going around are anything to go by the talent should be well look after as well. Now if we can just keep the politics out...

A cause for concern though was the quality of the refereeing, some of it was diabolical to say the least! Well at least at the KES Fest

I hear Bishops were up 26 - 3 vs St Stithians at half time and ended up winning 26 - 3! No points in 2nd half. However, I hear that Bishops had so many injuries before the game that they only had 7 backs available. So, when, just after half time, Bishops' no 10 and 13 clashed heads and were both stretchered off, they had a hooker playing crumhalf and a flank playing centre and the scrumhalf playing flyhalf! Then, add to this, they were given a yellow card and suffered a further injury but had run out of substitutes. So, the ended up the game with 13 players on the field. Hats off for not allowing Saints to cross the try line at this stage. Just pity about the injuries and the yellow card because, by all accounts, they had being playing sublime running rugby in the 1st half and had entertained the crowed with some great rugby up to that stage.

Geez, how good was Outeniqua?? What a talented side. They were superb.

Also gives one hope for the future of SA rugby - with the most amazing talent on show from their side being black. Their center - Fransman i think - was a revelation.

Afterwards i saw a Sharks scout take this number. Dammit....
