Even without Bakkies and Matfield the Bulls have a DRAGON of a team.

Good news for Sharks fans, for this week, Jean Deysel, Waylon Murray, Beast, Bismarck and JP Pietersen are due back! Suddenly some of my butterflies have died. Note only some of the Butterflies not all!
Loosehead, your team had better do it against the Chiefs or I swear I will never support the Cheetahs again as long as I live!

#2 Sharksgirl: And a wonderfull good morning to you too!
You can’t blame the Cheetahs for the Sharks loss against the Reds and the Cheetahs.
The returning players should make a huge difference to the Sharks. What they have to do is get a big bruiser onto the flank as soon as possible. If Deysel can’t start then start with Biusmark on the flank.

#3 Loosehead: Good morning Loosehead, sorry just excited about the returning players forgot my manners!!!
I am not blaming the Cheetah’s for the Sharks loss they were deserved winners by a long mile. What gets me though is why do they only manage this kind of performance against SA oposition. If they manage to keep this performance against foreign oposition they would do the Sharks and Bulls a huge favour, and if they had started like Saturday, at the Beginning of competition SA could have had 3 sides in the semis! Don’t get me wrong the Cheetahs are my second SA team, only go against them if they play the Sharks, so would have loved for them to have played ALL season like they played on Saturday!

#4 Sharksgirl: I wonder if you are as cross with the Stormers who has only just sneaked it against the Reds, have lost to all other Kiwi/Aus teams and crashed the Lions in the desperation to win. Does not read much different from the Cheetahs’ season script

#5 scar: At the time the Stormers beat the Lions they still had a chance to get into the semis so I was not so affected other than I dislike the Stormers intensely and like the LIons. What did this win do for the Cheaters they are still bottom of the log and have no hope what so ever of making the Semis! However you miss the point, what I am actually saying is if the Cheetahs had played like they did against the Sharks, against The Hurricanes, Waratahs, etc. they would have done us Sharks and Bulls supporters as well as you Cheaters supporters huge favours! but they didn’t they rolled over and played dead. they even rested 8 of their top players against the Hurricanes tell me thats not admitting defeat before even kicking a single ball, but against SA oposition they come all guns blazing! Of course, if they now play to the same level and skill they did on Saturday for the remainder of the Season, it will put a whole different shade on this whole issue, as we can then honestly say that they have finally hit their groove!

#6 Sharksgirl: I am huagely dissapointed at how they played on tour (again). But they came very close to beating the Force and then lost Juan which is a massive blow for a team that lack depth.
However, resting payers have always been a tactic for sevral teams while touring down under and even with their depeleted team, they played really well against the Hurricans.
In addition, I think every other SA team is thankful they did not get the Cheetahs draw. It is the worse one in the whole competition and that alone, IMO. valudates the decision to rest players! However,, I agree that the rest of their sesaon will indicate what “shade” their season will be remembered as!
Hope your team does well against the Saders!
15 Apr 2009, 14:24 pm
#7 scar: Thank you Scar, I also hope the Cheetahs do well for the remainder of the season. I do agree with you about the draw, we had a shite one last year, and we were not impressed!
15 Apr 2009, 15:03 pm
#8 Sharksgirl:
Sharksgirl..
If The Cheetahs beat the Bulls, then all will be forgotten and i will forgive them for tripping up our Sharks team.
After all The Sharks are in need of a serious rest, and a loss like that could just be what they needed as they head into the final stretch of the tournament
15 Apr 2009, 15:34 pm
#9 FootSoldier: Have to agree with you there Footsoldier!
15 Apr 2009, 16:24 pm
Cheetahs beat the Bulls?
In what lala land are your tuna supporters living?
15 Apr 2009, 16:50 pm
what a shock the sharks haven’t released their squad yet.
15 Apr 2009, 20:05 pm
#4 Sharksgirl:
I can understand your sentiments, but unfortunately, the Cheetah’s were a very unsettled unit till now, and some shoddy refs didn’t help either!!
Unfortunately, it all came good against the Sharks, though the signs were their against the Brumbies already !!
16 Apr 2009, 07:55 am
#13 Cheetah 4 Eva: That is what I am hoping for, the Cheetahs playing like they did on Saturday can do the Sharks huge favours!
#11 Joost_is_Innocent: They have done it a number of times, don’t be like us Sharks supporters, rather respect your oposition! See you in Durbs anyway!
16 Apr 2009, 07:59 am
#12 Dunx: The Sharks are waiting on the fitness of several players, before they release their squad! Other than the walking wounded coming back into the squad the Sharks will retain the same team, that is what they have done the entire season, get with the programme!
16 Apr 2009, 09:54 am
#15 Sharksgirl: See that JPP, Deysel, Bissie, Beast, Murray and Sykes back for the Saders game.
Read that Bissie never just rested last week, it was because of a slight injury. So hope that is all fine now. Ruan to come back after the bye.
16 Apr 2009, 10:16 am
#16 Puma: yep Puma, I also read Bissie was injure this morning. We were all misled by the commentators last week, but he is definitely in the Starting line up this week, this is the Sharks match 22 for Saturday, according to the Sharks site:
15. Stefan Terblanche
14. Odwa Ndungane
13. Adrian Jacobs
12. Riaan Swanepoel
11. JP Pietersen/Waylon Murray
10. Francois Steyn
9. Rory Kockott
8. Ryan Kankowski
7. Keegan Daniel
6. Jacques Botes
5. Johann Muller (Capt)
4. Steven Sykes
3. Jannie du Plessis
2. Bismarck du Plessis
1. Deon Carstens
Replacements:
16. John Smit
17. Tendai Mtawarira
18. Albert van den Berg
19. Jean Deysel
20. Charl McLeod
21. Monty Dumond
22. Luzuko Vulindlu/Waylon Murray
Although Waylon has been bracketed with JP, Sharksworld has spoken to JP and he sais he is playing on Saturday. Good news for us, also the fact that Deysel is finally back!
16 Apr 2009, 11:23 am
#17 Sharksgirl:
I feel that Luzuko Vulindlu is NOT up to Super14 rugby at all yet, actually have no idea how he even made any of the match day lineups.
He should be playing Vodacom Cup and Currie Cup, nothing higher then that for atleast 2years.
Huge bonus if Waylon is ready to return he’s a class act.
If The Sharks can lift their game this weekend and then have the bye weekend to recharge and with all their players returning including Pienaar due to return too, i don’t see any team beating The Sharks in Durban.
Have your say
