Grey Bloem face boot battle

Grey Bloem face boot battle

All eyes will be on Selborne flyhalf Dale Sabbagh when his side meet Grey Bloem in East London on Saturday.

Sabbagh had an outstanding second half against Queen’s last weekend, using his siege-gun boot to perfection and scoring all 16 of his side’s points. He will need to be contained by Grey if they are to win.

Grey, who have made an impressive start to the season, welcome back SA Schools centre Francois Venter, who oozes class. Selborne, however, will be fired up and with a hostile crowd buoying the home side on, Grey will have to lift their game if they are to record a victory.

Meanwhile, Queen’s travel to face Dale in King William’s Town, having won the last six encounters between the teams. However, this season will be a much tighter affair as Dale have grown as a side under coach Grant Griffiths.

Eighthman Lubo Balo and flanker Cody Basson have starred for the ‘Amadoda’ and will be looking to lead the charge against Queen’s.

Queen’s will aim to dominate the tight phases, especially through their props Allan Dell and Sesethu Time who were outstanding last weekend against Selborne. Queen’s centres Thabo Kambule and Mandaba also looked dangerous when they received the ball in space last week.

This reunion fixture at Dale should be a classic.

Grey College is the best schoolboy rugby side in the world. Dont think they will struggle to beat Selborne.

Grey has never been known for having fantastic kicking flyhalves. We have always just decided to run in the tries. Wind or no wind – a win for College should be secure.

    #3 Highlander:

Spoken like a complete twat. Showing your ignorance dude. Selborne College on a par with any school in SA, if not better. And that goes for their pupils and supporters alike.
