Jaque Fourie and Baywatch Grobbelaar return to the Lions starting team to face the Crusaders at Ellis Park.
Fourie received a finger to the eye during the Lions’ second tour match against the Blues, but he returns to face the Saders on Friday. Deon van Rensburg shifts to the wing to replace the injured Henno Mentz.
Fullback Louis Ludik has also recovered from his ailment and will start ahead of Earl Rose.
Grobbelaar also came home early from the tour with an ankle injury and he passed a fitness test after training on Wednesday afternoon, while the Lions will also be buoyed by the news that Richie McCaw has been ruled out with concussion.
In the only change to the pack hooker Willie Wepener has replaced Han van Dyk after being rested last week.
Alterations to the bench see Todd Clever left out of the 22, while utility back Michael Killian could make his debut as he comes in for Shandre Frolick.
