Sorry vir panniepeer bokbal – ek kan jou verseker die College boys het huge huge respek vir boishaai. In my dae het net die 1st team, cherries en die age group a spanne afgevlieg boishaai toe en vice versa. Die laaities van boyshaai was altyd baie wel gemanierd (beter as die PRG manne wat sou nou en dan bietjie “air gehad het). dis VERAL moeilik om in die paarl teen julle te wen, en ek onthou n vet pakslae in 1994 veral. dink tog College gaan vanmiddag wen, maar dit gaan nie 50 wees nie

7. save the springbok: of course Affies is a powerhouse school. Always been, and have always been a tough game for Grey College, I recall 3 drawn matches in the early 2000′s and a big victory in for affies in 05 i think. I also remember a game (think it was 02) where affies lead (at affies) 21-0 with seconds left in the 1st half, and one Ruan Pienaar, charged down to make it 21-7 at the half. Final score – Grey 41 – Affies 21. If we talk provincial players and Springboks, then Affies have not done that well for such a strong school – Grey, Paarl Gim lead the way there. Grey with most super 14 most currie cup and most springboks since isolation. Currently just a few stars : Brussouw, Stegman, Jannie and Bissie, Ruaan P, Frans S, CJ, Rob Ebersohn – just to name a few.
this weekends game against Paarl Boys, then Affies and the end of season game against paul roos will be HUGE, all 3 can go either way. the other games will be easy i think, incl glenwood, Grey PE, PTA Boys etc.

Top 2 schools……and Affies beat Paarl Boys, next to beat: Grey College. Give Affies more credit, a powerhouse in rugby: think Pierre Spies, Wynand Olivier, Fourie du Preez – 3 certain Springboks in the last years, And countless Bulls players bred from right accross the street from Loftus.

Ek sien Grey se kleinste telling is teen Marlow en ek sien Marlow het skaars 250 kinders in die hele skool! En grey het uit 90 seuns hulle 1ste span gekies! So dit wil iets sê van Marlow. Willie Meyer,Jorrie en Chris Kruger, Phillip Smit is bekende ouens
en huidiglik is dit Steven Sykes en Bees Roux wat van Marlow af kom.
