Amit Singh and Ravindra Jadeja’s mauling of the Bangalore batting line-up set up a seven-wicket win for Rajastahn on Thursday.
Robin Uthappa (17) top scored for the Royal Challengers with only five other batsman getting into double figures. Four South Africans in Jacques Kallis, Roelof van der Merwe, Dillon du Preez and Mark Boucher featured, but none made a telling contribution.
Set a paltry target of 106, the Royals lost Graeme Smith for just 20 runs. But Namran Ojha and Yusuf Pathan put the Royals back in front with a 43-run partnership. Ojha carried his bat, finishing the game with a boundary that took him to a well-played half-century.
