Johann Muller has been ruled out for the next six weeks after breaking his arm in Saturday’s Currie Cup opener against WP.
The medical car transported Muller from the Newlands pitch as he clutched his arm in agony. Sharks coach John Plumtree told keo.co.za after the game Muller had been taken to hospital to receive treatment, and it has now been confirmed the Sharks skipper has his arm in a cast.
The Sharks are already struggling with 10 Springboks unavailable due to Tri-Nations commitments. Plumtree said they will struggle to find a lock replacement for Muller, and Keegan Daniel is likely to assume the captaincy in Muller’s absence.
