The 41st Villager Sevens was won by Bishops A for the 19th time after they defeated Rondebosch A 45-14 in the final.
The Trophy quarter-finals saw Drakenstein beating SACS B 38-0, Rondebosch A defeating Bishops B 15-7, and SACS A beating Wynberg B 26-21 in sudden death’. Bishops A beat Rondebosch B 28-0.

The Trophy semi-finals saw Drakenstein fall 26-12 against Rondebosch A. Bishops A continued their powerful performance by beating SACS A (the 2007 winners) 17-0.

The final was a one sided affair with Bishops A running out comfortable winners.

The Plate semi-finals saw Excelsior beat DF Malan 17-12 in sudden death, in what was the match of the tournament.

Groote Schuur beat the Jag Academy ‘Barbarians’ side 31-0 to advance to the Plate final which they lost 36-0 to Excelsior.
