Pukke, Hammies through to semis

Pukke and Hamiltons both recorded wins in the quarterfinals of the National Club Championship on Tuesday.
Both teams secured second-half comebacks as they trailed at the break. Defending champions Pukke were behind 20-22 but edged Boland’s Rawsonville 44-34, while Hamiltons spurred on a miracle comeback by scoring 25 unanswered points late in the second stanza to beat Pirates 39-27. The Cape Town side fell to a 20-9 deficit at half-time.
In other quarterfinal results, Valke’s Springs and College Rovers convincingly beat Border’s Buffalo (51-19) and Eastern Cape’s Park (52-22) respectively.
The semi-final draw sees Pukke take on Springs and Hamiltons face College Rovers. Both games will be televised on SuperSport on Thursday.
Meanwhile, in the Plate competition Kuruman, Shimlas, Great Brak River and Pretoria Police all advanced through to the semi-finals.

If you follow Hammies season, that is how they have done it the whole year, come from behind wins…
They won the league in their final game with a last gasp try against UCT…

I was at the game there was a biting incident in the Pukke/Rawsonville game the PUK player’s ear looked pretty bad
