Pumas player bitten
26 Oct 2009
Pumas loose forward Pieter Meyer was allegedly bitten on his arm in his side’s promotion/relegation clash against Boland last Saturday.
Meyer approached match referee Jonathan Kaplan shortly before half-time with a bruise on his right arm that he alleged was a bite mark. The Boland management then approached their players during the break, but no one owned up as the guilty party.
Citing officer Edwin Wyngaardt said he could not identify a specific player during his investigation on Sunday, but added that he still has three minutes of the first half to work through.
This incident comes after Lions hooker Hans van Dyk was cited for biting WP flank Francios Louw in Johannesburg three weeks ago.
The consequences for these actions could be hefty as Rawsonville rugby club player Hayne Anthony was banned for four years last week after being found guilty for biting Pukke scrumhalf Andries Mahoney in the recent Club Championship.

Maybe it was the same guy who took a bite at F Louw, since the arm is his fav??………..LOL.
Ok no seriously. This is bad, we dont need this in rugby, does not matter who you are, or who you play for.
