Habana cleared of ‘kick’

Bryan Habana has been cleared of foul play and is up for selection for the Test against Italy on Saturday.

The Bok winger was cited by Australian Scott Nowland for allegedly kicking France winger Vincent Clerc. Judicial officer Lorne Crerar of Scotland dismissed the case after Habana had earlier pleaded not guilty at the hearing at Heathrow Airport.

If found guilty, he would have received at least a one week ban, but Habana’s now free to play in the final two Tests of the tour against Italy and Ireland.
