@uncleben: It hurt losing to Ireland in that manner but that was just one test match. Your lordship O’Gara on the other hand helped lose an all important series that only comes round once in 12 years. I reckon he must be feeling pretty kak, more so than John Smit felt after that defeat when that self confessed drunk of a ref screwed us badly.

He made a mistake sure, but the damage was already done, to let the boks back in the game prior to ROG being on the field at all. Blame the team, not ROG. If he kicked to touch, would have been a draw, and who knows what would have happened in the third test?
Think the boks would have laid down and played with 9 changes?

Plus he already got one over the Boks, remember Honis the ref saying to Smit talk to you players, and ROG tapped and scored in the corner while Smit was talking to his players?

Way I see it, ROG is even with the Boks, 1-1.

I still think he was 100% right to go for the up-and-under in Pretoria. What use is a draw to either team? His execution was off, but it’s not like anybody else was providing inspiration at that point.
