Marius Schoeman will miss the first leg of the IRB Sevens Series in Dubai due to a calf injury.

Schoeman injured himself during a warm-up session on Tuesday and will be replaced by Blue Bulls U21 wing Deon Helberg. Helberg was a member of the SA Vipers team who played over the weekend in Sri Lanka and recently starred for the SA Students in Singapore.

The Springbok Sevens play their first fixture against Wales on Friday morning.
