Cooper in hot water

Quade Cooper will appear in court after being charged with burglary in Queensland on Sunday.

Rugbyheaven.com.au reported that a Gold Coast resident found his property damaged by forced entry and allegedly saw Cooper going through his house. It is alleged that Cooper left with personal property.

The victim then called the Queensland police, who took Cooper into custody after finding the Wallabies player in the vicinity.

The 21-year-old has since been released on bail, but will will appear in court on Friday.

If found guilty, Cooper could face further action by the ARU and QRU considering the strict ruling against axed wing Lote Tuqiri for breaking protocol earlier this year.

‘We’ve got to establish the full facts of the matter before we can decide what action, if any, will be taken,’ said a QRU spokesperson.

Shame – it was probably some kid’s under 11 tennis trophy.

Can’t blame the poor sod, when last has an Aussie rugby player seen a trophy?

    My “stab in the dark”.

    -Quade had “Girlfriend” problems.
    -She kicks him out.
-Quade thought, “***** this, I brought the Xbox and the Blue Ray”.
    -Quade finds locks changed.
-Quade who has been grumpy for days, forces door.
-She comes home and spots him…………..etc…..etc…..

Apparently he was arrested in the back yard of the residence in Budds Beach – the property is rented by two foreign university students.

Apparently the door had been kicked in and two laptops were missing.

Cooper then had blood and urine samples taken after his release by the police – not at the instigation of the police.

He apparently claims not to remembers parts of the night in question.

I think we need to wait until more information comes to light before judging this talented youngster.

That being said, it’s not the first time he’s in trouble. He was fined AUD 10,000 by the ARU earlier this year when he smashed a taxi window in Brisbane, and he then disciplined again after a food fight in Canberra.

The ARU has a “three strikes” policy. However, Cooper was on holiday – so his contract with the Reds and the Wallabies might be saved because of this.
