No excuses here.. Monye, and Wilkinson, had their bells rung last weekend. Monye was never going to be in considered due to the 28 day rule that applies post concussion. No surprise with Armitage, as he has been out of form since returning from injury,and rushed back into international too soon. I would have dropped Wilkinson, after the Italy game. In fact people here are not surprised.

BP… England is not the only country, where so called B rate imports apply their trade.

Foden and Ashton are good calls. There is something not quite right about that backrow. All three are capable players but as a unit – not great.

Interesting midfield – could work.

@Big Hit: @5 how wrong you are. Vainikolo most certainly was a 'Kiwi'; thats what we call our New Zealand LEAGUE Internationals ! But somehow youre now distancing yourself from players if they dont "start". Like that matters in the painfully hypocritic stakes. Come on, youre starting to sound like some contrived Tiger Woods press statement now, all smoke'n'mirrors. I can hear a therapist calling. As for my 'vitirol', well I most certainly did have those coversations, here, with you, about Armitage/Monye/Wilko. And now theyre all gone....

Wilkinson was injured early on against Scotland in a tackle, then he concussed himself in another tackle before going off, Johnson said he's pretty banged up. It makes sense that Flood starts. @Black Panther: control your seeping vitriol BP, Hape never started a game and Vainikolo is a Tongan not a Kiwi.

Wilkinson played 2003 WC injured and on cortisone and has NEVER been the same since.

For I while I thought the same might happen to DC but he seems to be back to his best.

Wilkinson’s step and half shimmy is the most predictable movement in the game

I seem to recall saying 1. Wilko, 2. Armitage and 3. Monye, simply werent up to it before the 6N started, and yet BH drummed up all manner of excuses of fitness, hairstyles and golf handicaps to suggest I was merely sh*tstirring.
