30 Mar 2010
Tickets for the 2011 World Cup in New Zealand will be available from April.
The tournament organisers announced on Monday that the tickets will be sold in three phases, with the first phases starting on 27 April.
The first phase will allow the public to apply for venue and team pool packages, where 750 000 tickets will be available. The second phase (August or September) will open tickets sales for all individual games, except the semi-final and final which will be sold in the third phase (November).
The most expensive venue pool pack announced was Eden Park which will cost $NZ1720 (R 9 041) for A category tickets to the five matches. The cheapest adult option is the $NZ80 (R 422) to attend the two games in Palmerston North and Nelson.

Does Palmerston North and Nelson have proper seats or is it standing room/bring your own cushion?

NZL are due to host a World Cup but fok me their stadiums aren’t up to scratch.
Should still be a cracking RWC as long as the NZL people do their bit.

NZ shouldn’t have got this WC, but it’s gonna be a cracker anyway. In terms of rugby culture you can’t get better….

is there nothing this oke cant do ?
Monday March 30 2010 – Afrikaans civil rights activist-singer Steve Hofmeyr and his family were waiting at the Kentucky Fried Chicken drive-through in Kyalami when six armed black men robbed the food-outlet with an AK47 assault carbine and pistols. “The one guy stood 2m away from me and looked me in the eye. I just told my children to lie down on the back seat.” He, his girlfriend Suné Meyer and his two small sons by actress Natasha Sutherland, Sebastian, 8, and Benjamin, 6, had just paid for their order at the KFC drive through at the Kyalami Business Park.

The stadiums are sweet as, what are you on about? Chrischurch, Dunedin and Auckland are all getting redone. Remember the smaller games are at smaller grounds to create a good atmosphere and allow the cup to infiltrate the provincial strongholds of NZ rugby which is very fair for the fans. I remember Australia played Romainia (I think) at Stellenbosh in 1995 – youd hardly call that a world class stadium but that venue was perfect for that fixture. All the big games are at the main stadia so there’s nothing to worry about.
Do come to our beatiful country and bring lots and lots of Rand to spend on our great beer – just dont expect to find too many beautiful ladies! ( They are all taken by me and my cuzzies)
Have your say
