Paul Roos aim to jolt Jeppe
31 Mar 2010
Paul Roos and Jeppe will contest the main match at the St John’s Easter festival on Thursday.
The Stellenbosch side are coming off the back of a 20-0 drubbing of Wynberg in the recent Newlands Rugby Day, but Jeppe are also on a high having beaten arch-rivals KES 17-13.
‘We are under no illusions that the game will be tight and a physical confrontation awaits us,’ Paul Roos coach Stephan Jordaan told keo.co.za. ‘We watched them last weekend and they were impressive against KES.’
Paul Roos will rely heavily on fullback Craig Barry and No 8 Braam Steyn, while No 8 Arno Vosloo will be a key player for Jeppe.
Kick-off is at 4pm.

Wondered if you watched the game? Didn’t see anyone handing Jeppe anything. Saw the son of a Jeppe Old Boy (Garth Lemkus) Clint Lemkus play against his Dad’s alma mata. Saw Paul Roos give away 7 penalties in order to spoil the Jeppe attack on the day. Saw Paul Roos scream with delight at winning, because they knew they had met a worthy opponent.
Look forward to seeing both teams play this weekend.
Enjoy the rugby.
