Grey PE remain unbeaten
1 Apr 2010
Grey High beat Michaelhouse 17-10 in the final match of their festival on Wednesday.
According to The Herald newspaper, Grey gained plenty of possession from the set pieces, but, at times, could not round off their movements when a score appeared imminent.
The home side, however, did score two thrilling tries, one after a superb backline movement by wing Zuko Ndlela, who had a storming game, and the other by hooker Michael Willemse after some solid driving play.
Luke Daniels, who started the game at centre but later moved to flyhalf, completed their scoring with a penalty and two conversions.
Zaine Marx, who started at lock for Grey and then moved to flank, had a sterling game for the home team.
For Michaelhouse, No 8 Robert Gifford scored a try, with scrumhalf Thys Albertse adding a penalty and a conversion.
