Grey High scored nine tries in their 63-12 thrashing of Wynberg in Port Elizabeth last Saturday.
The hosts led 28-12 at the break.
According to The Herald newspaper, the Cape outfit were run off their feet by the Grey backs in the second half.
Prop Jan Enslin, who excelled in his all-round play, had another superb day with the boot, slotting nine conversions and missing only with a long-range penalty early in the game. Ironically, that miss led to Grey’s first try because Wynberg fullback Dylon Frylinck knocked the ball on under his posts, resulting in a 5m scrum for Grey and a try by lock Cole van Jaarsveldt.
On the left wing, Phaphama Hoyi showed deadly finishing touches with his speed and made the most of his opportunities by scoring a hat-trick of tries.
