The Bulls supporters celebrate while Victor Matfield leads the celebrations on the field. The Bulls win 25-17!
77 mins: Stormers try! The Stormers refuse to give up and they hitback with a Ricky Januarie try. Grant converts but they are still eight points a drift. 22-17 to the Bulls!
75 mins: The Bulls’ pack win another penalty at the scrum, this time right in front of the posts. Steyn converts the easy penalty which surely seals the Super 14 title. 25-10 to the Bulls!
74 mins: The Stormers’ frustration and lack of concentration gifts the Bulls with easy penalties and scrums.
71 mins: Bulls win a penalty from a driving maul after No 8 Duane Vermeulen is blown for an illegal entry. Steyn kicks his fifth penalty for a 12-point cushion. 22-10 to the Bulls!
70 mins: Stormers win a key penalty in the Bulls’ 22m area, but it is cancelled out by the assistant referee as he finds Bekker guilty of an illegal clearance at a breakdown.
67 mins: With a comfortable lead, the Bulls force the Stormers to play from their half with clever kicks. The Stormers eventually get caught out at the back and prop Guthro Steenkamp wins a penalty and a chance to extend the Bulls’ lead. However, Steyn’s attempt shades wide.
64 mins: Du Preez tests the Stormers’ back three with an up and under and Pietersen takes it in without problems. However, his clearance goes out on the full.
60 mins: The Stormers are penalised at the scrum and Steyn makes it a nine-point game. 19-10 to the Bulls!
58 mins: Hougaard breaks two tackles and creates some momentum for the Bulls. After several phases, they edge nearer and nearer to the whitewash but flank Francois Louw makes a crucial turnover. But Stegmann counters that with a turnover of his own and wins the Bulls a scrum 10m out.
54 mins: Stormers try! Out of the blue! Deon Stegmann wins an impressive turnover, but Habana intercepts the ball from the resulting attack. The speedster touches down under the posts and Grant adds the extras. The seven points spark the Stormers back into the game. 16-10 to the Bulls!
52 mins: The two packs struggle to bind and a successful engagment on the third attempt ends a frustarting restart period. You have to question Joubert’s handling of the scrum.
48 mins: The teams struggle to find continuity in attack because of poor handling.
43 mins: The Bulls are blown for a dangerous tackle and Grant lines up his second penalty attempt. However, he pushes it wide.
41 mins: The Bulls attack from the restart but a loose Danie Rossouw pass is intercepted by scrumhalf Dewald Duvenage and gives the Stormers early momentum.

40 mins: Both teams keep going as the first half comes to a close. Pietersen’s clearance is the last action before Joubert blows the half-time whistle.
33 mins: The Bulls enjoy most of the possession, but a sturdy Stormers’ defence frustrates the champs. Steyn eventually attempts a 45m drop goal, but it’s well wide.
30 mins: The Stormers attack from the lineout and the Bulls concede a penalty 30m out. Stormers pivot Peter Grant converts for his team’s first points of the game. 16-3 to the Bulls!
28 mins: The Stormers get their second promising opportunity of the game, however, the Bulls win a turnover 5m from their try line and Steyn eases pressure and clears play to the 22m line.
25 mins: Bulls try! Du Preez’s short pass to wing Francois Hougaard finds a gap in the Stormers’ defence. The Bulls speedster beats last man Pietersen with pace very easily (too easily) and dives under the posts. Steyn converts. 16-0 to the Bulls!
20 mins: Stormers concede another penalty. Steyn keeps the Bulls’ score tally ticking with the boot and converts his third penalty. 9-0 to the Bulls!
19 mins: The Stormers find themselves in a promising attacking position from the restart and work themselves 5m from the chalk. After two attempts, skipper Schalk Burger puts the ball over the line but Joubert calls for the TMO. The Stormers crowd cheer as they see Burger ground the ball but the TMO rules the try invalid because of double movement.
17 mins: Scrumhalf Fourie du Preez tries to catch the Stormers napping with a quick penalty tap, but nothing comes out of it and the get no advantage. Steyn converts the penalty. 6-0 to the Bulls!
14 mins: Both teams attempt to beat the opposing defences, the Bulls with ball in hand while the Stormers apply the kick-chase method. However, the new law interpretations award attacking rugby and the Bulls enjoy more ball and find field position in the Stormers’ red zone. The Bulls win a penalty in a kickable position after referee Craig Joubert punishes the Stormers at the breakdown.

7 mins: Gerhard van den Heever cries off with a hamstring injury and replacement wing Jaco van der Westhuyzen gets an early run.
5 mins: Bulls test the Stormers’ defence with several ball carriers and with some success build momentum, but the defending champs lose the ball 10 metres from the try line. Stormers set out on a counter attack but centre Jaque Fourie’s poor pass to wing Gio Aplon ends their opportunity.
