Tigers edge Sarries

Despite two tries from Ernst Joubert, Saracens lost to Leicester 33-27 in the Premiership final.

Sarries claimed the lead for the first time in the match with four minutes remaining, but a late try from Dan Hipkiss ended Brendan Venter’s side’s dream run. Joubert scored Sarries’ only tries.

In the Top 14, Clermont won their first final after losing three in the last three years. They downed defending champions Perpignan 19-6 with Marius Joubert starting at inside centre.

In the Magners League final, the Osprey’s beat CJ van der Linde’s Leinster 17-12. Tommy Bowe and Lee Byrne scored for the Ospreys, while Van der Linde started at tighthead.

I switched over to this game after the S14, and in my amateur opinion….a way better and entertaining game than the S14….. and gee! as much as I like the idea of the blerrie vuvizelas(spelling)…. they ought to be banned…. what a racket, the players could’nt hear the calls, you could’nt hear the commentators and to hear the “real” crowd at the Guiness final, what a pleasure….
it was great to see so many Saffa’s in that final…. and er… the Namibian…..
