Is there a more intelligent coach than Mallet out there?
fluent in Italian,French,Afrikaanse,English and Xhosa educated at Oxford and a top guy to boot.

I think Mallet has taken Italy to a level,
well above where they were before.

I my opinion, he was the best Bok Coach ever.

Keeping in mind you can please some of these Saffas,
some of the time.

But pharrk they are a difficult bunch.

Big Hit – Mallett went to Italy for the money and the wonderful l culture not for coaching. There are much better coaches out there than him. He is just a big ego.

A few good players have gone on the play for Italy, but a few shockers as well. Gert Peens, remember him? Played for EP. 20-odd caps for Italy. And a guy called Jaco Erasmus – ever heard of him? 3 caps. And Benjamin de Jager – 1 Italy cap. At least some of the other SA’s, Wim Visser, Del Fava, De Maringey etc was known in local rugby circles.
