  • 8.sharks_lover: Reply to this comment

    @Heavens Game(Heavens Game)-7: very good play HG but he has not really grabbed the chances that have come his way

    a lot of talent, but he truelly needs to step up

    sorry was thinking ABOUT DOWNEY

    rhodes has done well but i am still not totally convinced

    he played very well against the valke

    also can be used at lock

    @sharks_lover(sharks_lover)-8: Yeah, chaps reckon he has a lot of potential. I remember hime coming on against the BI Lions – big boy, solid – he caught the eye, like Mvovo in that game, even though he only played 10-12 mins.

  • 11.WOLFMAN21: Reply to this comment

    Have the Sharks successfully stolen Mapoe now? Or is that still up in the air?

    Yeah, he’s a Shark unless he has a Mossie contract.

    Nice side, a good mix of youth, experience and the old age home…but ST is probably still the fittest guy on the field.

  • 23.sharks_lover: Reply to this comment

    what of BJ and Butch?? they also left lol

    and you have pat cilliers twice

  • 24.Zulushark: Reply to this comment

    23 – butch, i hear will playing for the lions

  • 25.sharks_lover: Reply to this comment

    agreed rhys lots of depth

    problem in backline is some super stars

    now south africas most promising 10 at school level is a youngster from glenwood , he did not play in craven week as he broke his leg in the glenwood college game played about 3 weeks ago, this kid is brilliant

    also for the junior sharks this year is a big strong 12 and fast , most say he very unlucky no to make the sa craven week team

    so further down the line sharks have some of their own kids comming through nicely

    but its still atleast 2 years away

    @Zulushark(Zulushark)-24: nope that fell through

    That does’nt suprise me. Who wants to live in JHB. Butch has always been a true shark boy, I’m sure he will coem back and retire here….next year with Stephan

    Are you sure ? The question is where ? I’m french and for the moment we have no idea where he’s heading to. He’s leaving Montauban (relegated in third division due to financial problems) but we have no more news.

    @Rhys7(Rhys7)-21:
    Kockott instead of Pienaar who is leaving for Europe (Ulster). Don’t forget Eugene Van Staden, good prop coming from Montpellier in France. I’m not sure that André Pretorius will stay after the Currie Cup.

  • 30.sharks_lover: Reply to this comment

    @jauzy19(jauzy19)-29: so far neither are leaving all just talk

    as for len that is the last i heard

    i dont read the french sites though as i dont speak or read the lingo

    guess time will tell

  • 31.SAinNZ: Reply to this comment

    Well I guess that means the wingers won’t be getting much ball.

    Seriously, how many 2 on 1s did ST bomb this year by throwing a dummy and going himself…

  • 32.Rhys7: Reply to this comment

    @sharks_lover(sharks_lover)-23:

    Yeahh but sharks have front rows coverd, BJ Botha would be more use to Stormers or Lions imo, Eugene Van Staden should be instead of one of the 2 pat cilliers i accidentally put down

    Sharks need a good 10 and they sorted, Butch James would have been ideal

    they should also be hopeful Frans steyn returns when contract finishes in racing metro

    @SAinNZ(SAinNZ)-31:

    is there any need to criticise one of the longest serving, fittest members of a sharks squad and at his age and experience
    he did well at 13 in s14
    lambie is the new star 15 at sharks with murray gone and jacobs injured, who better than terblanche to play at 13.

  • 33.Big Hit: Reply to this comment

    @Transformation(Transformation)-18: why, he’s still an asset. Depth is key, especially at Sharks where there seems to be a backline injury crisis every year to mess up their S14.

  • 34.Transformation: Reply to this comment

    @Big Hit(Big Hit)-33: an asset that doesn’t pass, i can still see mvovo flying next to hims screaming for the ball only for stephan to do the usual tugging of the ball underneath his arm and going for glory, bloody old ****, he is not a 13′s arse

  • 35.Big Hit: Reply to this comment

    @Transformation(Transformation)-34: yeah he’s not a 13, I’ll grant you that, but you were talking about him retiring completely.

  • 36.Transformation: Reply to this comment

    @Big Hit(Big Hit)-35:yes, lambie doesn’t need any babysitter. O’connor, dagg, lambie – that is the future. If percy has retired stephan should be @ happy acres in a rocking chair.

  • 37.Transformation: Reply to this comment

    @Big Hit(Big Hit)-35: plus the sharks have louis ludik too. :x

  • 38.Big Hit: Reply to this comment

    @Transformation(Transformation)-36: can’t always be building for the future, that’s some Robbie Deans schtick. ST is good cover and if in form a good starter.

  • 39.Predawn : Reply to this comment

    Are these new youngsters all from The Sharks Academy?

  • 40.iori Yagami: Reply to this comment

    Please tell me this is Terblanche’s last year with the Sharks?? Loose trio looks a bit light….Looks like a good team for the future, lots of promising youngsters.

  • 41.robdylan: Reply to this comment

    this is, in fact, not Lambie’s debut. He came on for the Sharks against the Leopards in last year’s Currie Cup.

    Strike another one up for poorly-researched tabloid **** journalism, guys :)
