Pietersen returns

Pietersen returns

JP Pietersen is back in the Sharks starting team for their match against the Bulls at Kings Park.

Pietersen injured his knee against the Blues and missed the final three weeks of the Super 14 and the Boks’ June internationals. With Jean de Villiers currently playing out of position on the wing for the national side, some strong showings could see Pietersen return for the home-leg of the Tri-Nations.

Elsewhere, John Plumtree has named Pat Lambie at centre, while Louis Ludik shifts to fullback. Rory Kockott is dropped for scrumhalf Charl McLeod for Saturday’s match against the defending champions.

Sharks – 15 Louis Ludik, 14 JP Pietersen, 13 Stefan Terblanche (c), 12 Patrick Lambie, 11 Lwazi Mvovo, 10 Steve Meyer, 9 Charl McLeod, 8 Keegan Daniel, 7 Michael Rhodes, 6 Jacques Botes, 5 Alistair Hargreaves, 4 Steven Sykes, 3 Wiehahn Herbst, 2 Craig Burden, 1 Patric Cilliers.
Subs: 16 Kyle Cooper, 17 Eugene van Staden, 18 Ross Skeate, 19 Skholiwe Ndlovu, 20 Rory Kockott, 21 Monty Dumond, 22 Andries Strauss.

    @goyougoodthing2(goyougoodthing2)-49: You’ve obviously heard the joke – ‘Where do the English cricketers stay when in South Africa ?’

    ‘With their parents’

    Another classic ‘What does a Stormers supporter do after winning the Super 14 ?’

    ‘Turn off their playstation’

    @goyougoodthing2(goyougoodthing2)-48: Shaun Sowerby would have over 50 caps for France now if it wasnt for 1 TEST he played for the Boks.

    @foreverrugga(foreverrugga)-52: Kockett’s service is worse than Ricky’s. He takes to long to make decisions and then usually makes the wrong one. He can be brilliant at times but awefull most of the time. Charl McLeod isn’t as flashy but he does the basics well.

    Good to have him back. Hope he has had a good rest. Once the boytjie puts his game face on The Sharks (and Boks) will have a gamebreaker again.

    @KevinRack(KevinRack)-57:

    Ja unfortunately his tactical kicking is one of the worst in the game. Can’t this be coached? surely as a professional rugby player he would be working on any weaknesses…oh well at least he can run and he’s got powerful legs.

    I think its ridiculous that Lambie is at 12. He is our best fullback and we move him to accommodate Ludick who has done nothing at 15 for some time. Cocking around a youngster once again. Idiots.

    Now I hate the Sharks, but Louis Ludik is an amazing youngster that will definitely be in the Springboks one day. I’ll be supporting the Bulls, but I’m super keen to see Ludik get a go
