Saints claim big K-Day win
16 Aug 2010
St Andrew’s thrashed Kingswood 41-15 in Grahamstown on Saturday.
Saints hooker Dane van der Westhuizen opened the scoring with a penalty, before right wing Geoffrey Toplis and flank Grant Prior went over to make it 17-0.
Kingswood centre John Hale gave his side hope five minutes before the break when he intercepted a pass and ran 75m to score between the posts, with a penalty early in the second half reducing the gap to 10.
But two quick tries saw St Andrew’s regain the ascendancy and another later on put the result beyond doubt.
Kingswood scored their second try through right wing Ruru Msutu, but St Andrew’s had the last say with a converted try in the corner.

to be clear…
St Andrew’s College in Grahamstown are NOT called Saints! They are College, if you need to abbreviate.
However, St Andrew’s School in Bloemfontein IS called Saints.
