Sharks to stay at Kings Park

Sharks to stay at Kings Park

The Moses Mahbida Stadium will not be the Sharks’ new home.

This was confirmed by CEO Brian van Zyl in a press release on Friday. He said that a number of issues were taken into account when making this decision, including:

1. The long lease on the entire property [Kings Park] which only terminates in 2056.

2. The Sharks (Pty) Ltd is debt free and has financed the cost of the stadium, which is currently insured for R500 million.

3. Thus far, the [Durban] Municipality has not been able to provide any incentive or been able to demonstrate that The Sharks (Pty) Ltd will not be worse off, should it relocate to the new stadium.

4. The completion of a five-year naming rights agreement for the stadium [Kings Park], effective 1 January 2011, is at an advanced stage.

@Inevitable(Inevitable) : So which hits did Mabhida order, exactly? Vague generalizations aren’t good enough. It’s like saying all white people who lived in apartheid SA were racist, apartheid supporters simply because they were part of the country. You don’t know what decisions he was personally involved in.

@Panzer Chief(cane) : Buggar my point has been lost in translation… and many posts…

Basically on all sides the good is evil and the evil is good, depending on who you chat to and what side of the fence you are on…

You can even be responsible for bad things and not even realise it… it’s just the way events go sometimes…

Yes it could have been worse I agree… but anyway, argument is lost.

And Kings Park is back to Kings Park.

Viva Capitalism, Viva Sharks, Viva Mr Price! Viva Chinese Imports!

    Now, I really must go

Not a sod. Capitalism is the exploitation of those with money by those who actually produce something tangible. The ‘miidle-man’ and the ‘middle-middle-man’.
Capitalism is all about getting the ‘bigger slice of the cake’ – based on the artifical monetary availability.
Simply put, those with money garner greater yields, with less effort, than those who put their noses to the grindstone.
There is no difference between Cpaitalism and Feudalism. One was based on land, the other on bank balance.

Apparently, within a few minutes of a secret meeting (MK, ANC etc) the SA intelligence services were aware of the contents.

Just as well, otherwise a lot more civilians would have been killed.

Google Robert Waterwitch — ANC bomb-planter would-be terrorist who was so curious to see what happens he watched his own bomb explode. From a distance of two feet. Accompanied by his girlfriend.

    Hmmm…

Some things you most definitely can generalize about.

Did he train his cadres not to kill innocent civilians and if they did, did they face a court martial?

A couple of examples will do.

@OCO(OCO) : Anyone can become a capitalist. Not everyone does, obviously, but that’s because they don’t take the necessary risks. So it has a built-in sorting mechanism. That’s good too — just like the successful hierarchies throughout the animal kingdom. Not all lions, apes, even springboks are equal because, if they were, the gene pool would weaken and threaten all their collective existence. Inequality is essential to improve the breed.

But leave to you to try and infer something else, just as I had already anticipated, because you really are that predictable.

I think that’s why some people migrate, to prevent all the eggs sitting in one basket. It could be built into the genes of some & not in others. Just as well, otherwise we would all be doing the same stuff.

I often think about that because the urge to remain must be just as strong, if not stronger than the urge to migrate. How else would one explain the fact that so many Jews chose to remain in Germany despite the growing persecution they faced.

“lads all reet Yorkshire folk are dour folk”.

Years go by and still Eddie is silent. Visits to the doctor ensue only to be met with the refrain

“lads all reet Yorkshire folk are dour folk”

Then one Sunday lunch when Eddie is well into his twenties he pipes up

    “Yorkshire puds not great”

The parents are astounded, mum bursts into years father looks misty eyed at his sons first words .
” you can speak Eddie ” cries his mum ” why have you be silent all these years ?”

    Eddie replies
“up till now Yorkshire pud were all reet”.
