    Big difference between ‘capping’ talented players and keeping them in the loop with ‘A’ games or the farce that is the Emerging Boks and mid-weekers…

    Boks are short quality open-siders and Fourie fits the bill…

    @bryce_in_oz(bryce_in_oz)-3: where did Hendre Fourie excel, high school, age group level, Vodacom Cup, when was he ever outstanding?

    It is only in the last 2 years that SA discovered openside play – that is the reason for the lack of talent at openside.

    @Transformation(Transformation)-4: Totally. Not relevant in SA Rugby as far as the national picture is concerned.

    He was solid at the Cheetahs back then not much more…

    Comment was more heading towards the Bok’s inability to use their ‘A’ team more effectively rather than the farce it was on the EOYT mid-weekers last year…

    Keeping their ‘next best’ 22 ‘in-the-loop’ within Bok structures, game-plans etc and ready to step-up if needed…

    Just as the Aussies and Kiwi’s do each year with solid games for their ‘A’ teams…

    @bryce_in_oz(bryce_in_oz)-11:

    No need for some of the constant ‘capping’ then… and let’s a fringe player know where he stands…

    Anyways works over… outa here all..

    @bryce_in_oz(bryce_in_oz)-11: well nobody really much cares about “promising players” in SA, its all about the 22 and if you’re not in there, the first thing the papers say “de Villiers Snubs Money_Man”
