Six Nations latest – Gatland moves Hook again

Keo.co.za brings you news from the Six Nations.

Gatland moves Hook again – James Hook will start at outside centre when Wales take on Italy at Rome this weekend.

This will be Hook’s third different position for the Wales this year in as many games. Head coach Warren Gatland started him at fullback against England in the first round and at flyhalf against Scotland a fortnight ago.

The switch also sees veteran Stephen Jones retain the No 10 jersey.

Wales – 15 Lee Byrne, 14 Morgan Stoddart, 13 James Hook, 12 Jamie Roberts, 11 Shane Williams, 10 Stephen Jones, 9 Michael Phillips, 8 Ryan Jones, 7 Sam Warburton, 6 Dan Lydiate, 5 Alun Wyn Jones, 4 Bradley Davies, 3 Craig Mitchell, 2 Matthew Rees (c), 1 Paul James.
Subs: 16 Richard Hibbard, 17 John Yapp, 18 Jonathan Thomas, 19 Josh Turnbull, 20 Tavis Knoyle, 21 Rhys Priestland, 22 Leigh Halfpenny.

Hook is much better at 10 as he has that mongrel needed for Wales.

It’s a shame Silver boots Henson is nort fit he would partner well with J Roberts and provides Wales with another kicking option.
