    Sharks at Rebels
The Rebels haven’t got the team to beat the Sharks, under a Kiwi referee the Sharks will be penalised often in the scrum, if Albert is injured result will be close
    Sharks by a 10

    Highlanders at Stormers
Getting rid of the ‘Double J’ plague will lift the Stormers game, but ‘what if’ Deon Fourie is injured? under Steve Walsh it will be a fair contest
    Stormers by a 7

    Lions at the Cheetahs
The Cheetahs cannot expect to get anywhere this season with Johnson and Floor in their match 22, not against the Lions’ impressive loose trio anyway
but a Kiwi referee and Maku will help the Cheetah to keep the score close
    Lions by 5

I saw a team sheet eearlier that had Frans Viljoen playing at 6 & Phillip Burger on the bench?

Also the assistant referee for the lions v cheetahs is Glen Jackson? is this former saracens fly half last year??

  • 7.Big Hit: Reply to this comment

@Rhys7(Rhys7)-5: yep, that’s the one. I saw him ref in the ITM Cup, he was passable.

  • 8.jeest: Reply to this comment

@Hondo(Hondo)-4: Sharks will win that game by about 40 points. Force are a far better team than the Rebels, even with 14 men.

Where is Kade Poki :( ?

    Is he injured?

  • 13.garth: Reply to this comment

I think that the Sharks have realised that John can’t play number 2 with Biz in the same team. Biz should be captain of the Sharks and Boks.

@Hondo(Hondo)-4: Rugby is not as simplistic as that. Lions loosies have been immense, but the Cheetah’s are not to be sneezed at!!

    Coenie Oosthuisen vs Pat Cilliers
    Rayno Barnes vs Maku
WP Nel vs JC van Rensburg
Martin Muller vs Wikus van Heerden
Wilhelm Steenkamp vs Franco vd Merwe
    Heinrish Brussow vs Derek Minnie
Phillip vd Walt vs Josh Strauss
    Frans Viljoen vs Warren Whitely

    Sarel Pretorius vs Kockett
    Sias Ebersohn vs Elton Jantjies
    Rayno Benjamin vs Lionel Mapoe
Andries Strauss vs Doppies le Grange
    Robert Ebersohn vs Waylon Murray
    Phillip Snyman vs Michael Killian
    Riaan Viljoen vs Jaco Taute

    Skipper Badenhorst vs Martin Bezuidenhout
    Kobus Caldo vs Kevin Buys
    Karamba Floors vs Cobus Grobbelaar
Francois Uys vs Dries van Schalkwyk
Tewis de Bruyn vs Jano Vermaak
    Naas Olivier vs Burton Francis

Only a brave man would wager on this one.

Cheetahs should boss the scrums and lineouts, but I think the Lions loosies will be able to match the Cheetahs.

Both backlines are able to score tries, but so far the Cheetahs defense has been immense. Home ground advantage will help the Cheetahs.

A musch heavier pack than was the case against the Bulls, and the Cheetahs held their own, They will look to dominate a bit. Scrum should weigh in at close to 900 kg’s. Locks have so far bossed the Sharks and Bulls in the lineouts. Hopefully the refs can get a consistent touch blah blah sequence

    Go Cheetahs!!

@Hondo(Hondo)-4: Dude, wtf is your problem anyway?

“The Cheetahs cannot expect to get anywhere this season with Johnson and Floor in their match 22″

Ashley J has been playing some of his best rugby in the last few weeks.
Expect him to have a Stormers.
And Maku not that bad, been playing decently!

Try see the players! Not their skin colours!!!

I agree that Cheetahs should take this one and that their pack should be ahead of the Lions pack especially with Brussow in the mix, its just a pity Smith isn’t around.
You say the Cheetahs held their own against the Bulls, I’d agree until Flip and Russouw were brought on then the Cheetahs were hammered bad, one very poor scrum even resulting in a try being conceded (where Johnson flicked the ball back).

  • 21.goyougoodthing2: Reply to this comment

Sharks have won 14 in a row at home, and the spoke of Fortress Loftus!

  • 22.Cheetah 4 Eva: Reply to this comment

@foreverrugga(foreverrugga)-20: Agree with you on that, the Bulls bench clinched it, but by then we had already lost Juan after a few minutes, and Frans Viljoen before half time. That scrum was after Wilhelm was a bit harshly yellow carded, and the Cheetahs were down to 7 in the scrum…

I think it would have been real interesting, had Juan/Viljoen not been injured so early!!

@Cheetah 4 Eva(Cheetah 4 Eva)-22: One can never say for absolute certain but if Smith had been there I rek Cheetahs could have taken the win. I recall as soon as Smith joined the Cheetahs in last years S14 that he turned their fortunes around and they started doing well. He makes a big positive impact. I’m keen to see what Brussow can do come Saturday.
